We now have a three legged guinea pig

I would not use this pot with a rack installed. Works well for its intended purpose but not secure. Our guinea pig Hazel gets restless and occasionally spills popcorn around her cage and gets her foot stuck in the bars. The vet had to amputate her leg and now we have a three-legged guinea pig. It was an expensive and heartbreaking lesson. She seems to be on the mend now, she has some guilt for buying this and putting it in her cage.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not suitable for a rabbit

I knew the exact size of this so I can't say it doesn't work, it just doesn't work well for a rabbit. I have a 4 month old Dutch Fold and I got her before the rabbit moved into the house. Being my first rabbit I didn't really know what to buy. The bars are nice and wide, which I think would be better for the legs, and they're made of durable plastic, but they're too small for a bunny. His little ass would hang down if he used it to eat as well. So all in all the product is perfectly suitableโ€ฆ

Nice box at a fair price!

Our 8 week old Holland Lop is doing very well with his tray! I'm so glad I went for the one with the plastic "grid" as it loves to just hang on the box. (I didn't want him to just rest in his dirty sheets.) I considered several different options before settling on this one. I like that there are no solid plastic ridges around the edges of the top grille for pee or poop to get on. The top is secure but easy to remove if you want to clean the bottom or change upholstery. We'll see how well itโ€ฆ

  • Free for educational purposes

Easy to clean, very small.

This is a decent tray. However, I have standard size rabbits, 4-5 pounds, and they barely fit in. The picture must be of dwarf rabbits. This rabbit floor was made from plastic mesh, so it's not too bad for the rabbits. However, I found it easier to put the linens in and remove the plastic drawer dividers entirely. This is more natural for the rabbit and easier to clean. I have another one exactly the same size but from a different brand, with a metal divider, and I took that out too. If you'reโ€ฆ

not for rabbits except to put hay on top

Unless your rabbit weighs just a pound OR can't put his butt on the wire rack, this won't work as a potty. My rabbit now gets hay on it. My 4 pound bunny is getting old and doesn't want to jump 4 inches into his current box so I was desperate for something lower. It was lower but too small. What I have just ordered is for puppies and other small dogs that need a grate over the crates because dogs tear up inserts without a grate. The holes in the grates may be too small for rabbit pellets to fit

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • There are caveats

It's too small for adult rabbits but great for hay feeding!

This "tray" is MUCH small for adult rabbits! Rabbits need litter boxes large enough to maneuver, turn, and dig in, which is their natural behavior in the wild. Many bun experts recommend giving a rabbit a tray large enough to hold TWO rabbits at a time. Three foot long transparent containers with low walls are ideal for this. By giving your rabbit enough space to do their "things" and of course by cleaning the box frequently (daily is best), you reduce the likelihood that your rabbit willโ€ฆ

  • Almost everything is fine
