ME FAN Medium Storage Containers Airtight Review

I am medium size and they are too small for cereal! The quality is good but if you want to put a box of cereal inside you will be disappointed. They're probably great for rice or beans or things you keep in small batches. I hate giving low ratings because they are great quality especially for the price but they are advertised as cereal containers and they definitely are not so I will give a medium star rating for an inaccurate description.

Of the six containers, only three had matching lids. They don't close either. Every time I take out the cereal box I have to reattach the ends that snap into place. They cannot be sealed. However, the height is good and they fit well on a standard shelf. The pour hole is large enough for most of the flakes I use, although a few of the larger ones can get stuck, forcing me to repeat the pour multiple times. Generally I would like to buy Rubbermaid or Oxo.

I'm surprised that few reviewers bother that the pouring opening is too small and most cereals can't be poured. You have to shake vigorously to get the flakes and then only a small amount goes into the bowl. This was not the granola I tried (I filled all 6 different types), this was the case with all types except puffed rice. Isn't the purpose of the bulk cereal container to pour out cereal? I love these containers! When it arrived I immediately opened it, washed it and put my cereal on it and I'm very happy with the result. My pantry looks a lot better. These are compact containers, they are thin and tall, you don't need to stack them on top of or in front of each other. The perfect height for the bottom shelf of my pantry. This is a very large container and takes up less space in my kitchen if like me you live in an apartment building where in the name of luxury the size of the kitchen is reduced and culturally I have lots of spices in my kitchen along with at least 6 types of lentils that will get wet or become rodents if not kept in an airtight container. Glad to have found some good food storage containers for my tall cupboards which are just under 12" deep and 9" tall. A small box of cereal wouldn't fit right off the bat. Minus a bowl of raisin bran from a box of about 16 ounces and everything would fit. Hubbie's baby cereal works great too. Love this! We recently upgraded our pantry shelving (switched from construction grade wire shelving to custom white wood shelving) and decided it made sense to change the way we organize our pantry.
