Description of 🔌 8ft Mediabridge ULTRA Series Subwoofer Cable - Dual Shielded, Gold Plated RCA to RCA Connectors - Black

Ideal for connecting subwoofer speakers to audio components, such as stereo receivers or sound systems, while offering excellent bass response and flexibility. Low-loss, wide spectrum coaxial cable great for the low-frequency signals produced by subwoofers, allowing for deep and precise audio quality. A split-tip center pin ensures high contact pressure and signal strength, while unique gripped molding and corrosion-resistant gold-plated RCA connectors provide a consistently tighter fit than commonly rolled cables with wider tolerances. A copper clad center conductor, dielectric insulation, aluminum braiding and 2 layers of foil shielding, for maximum protection against the hum/static encountered when multiple devices are in close proximity of each other. The cable is finished in tough, yet pliable PVC jacket with color coding, for easy routing and quick installation. This cable is backed by Mediabridge's Limited 1 Year Warranty. Includes adjustable & reusable Velcro cable strap for easy organization & storage.

Hum/hum is eliminated for good

My home theater subwoofer has been making an annoying hum/hum for a long time and I just unplugged it when not in use. I got tired of hooking it up and finally did a little research. Oh wonder, this happened due to a poor quality cable. This solved my problem and I couldn't be happier for just a few bucks. Very satisfied!

Pros
  • Not just usable for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Something is wrong

The quiet rumble solved it for me.

I've been using the same home theater system for about 15 years. It sounded good overall, but I had to turn off the subwoofer due to its low level. I've tried repositioning the speaker and tried all sorts of settings. I still had little of him. We had to replace our TV which resulted in many changes to our setup. At the same time, I decided to buy a new cable for the subwoofer, and the low frequencies disappeared from it. In my case, the cable slipped easily as I had read that it was difficult…

EZ Plug & Play Audio Cable

This is excellent value for money compared to other brands. Arrived quickly with excellent packaging and presentation. I had a longer cable from a Revain brand that decided to get rid of the ghost and I heard that a shorter cable length would improve the sound quality. 6ft was too short, but this 8ft length is perfect for mounting the subwoofer from the corner wall to the center receiver. Sound quality is solid and hits hard when needed, making watching movies and listening to music a pleasure.

Mediabridge ULTRA Series Subwoofer Cable (8ft) Arrived on time and in perfect condition. Great subwoofer cable. High quality materials and workmanship. I did a side-by-side comparison using a cheap thin "cable" that I've been using as a last resort for a while, with a good soundbar currently upgraded to a Sony ES AV receiver with Sony Core Series SSCS5 and Sony SACS9 bookshelf speakers becomes. Subwoofers. The Sony subwoofer now sounds much, much better and the Sony bookshelf speakers sing…

Very hard work. Solid build quality.

Wow this cable seems solid! He's slightly overweight but obviously built to withstand abuse. You can keep pulling this cable and I doubt the cable will come loose from the connector. I won't try, but the essence is clear. Supposedly the screen and wires are very high quality. I saw someone post pics of their innards and it certainly looked good, but I don't know enough about all the different layers to tell you how much it improves the sound, but I'm convinced that it does it is as high quality

Not effective against RF interference from FM transmitter

I know this cable got good reviews which is why I bought it, but my experience has shown that this cable does NOT offer any protection against RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). I bought this cable to eliminate the constant hum from my subwoofer (even when the AVR amp was off) and it reduced the hum somewhat compared to an unshielded RCA cable, I had a very loud and distinct one the entire time Hum could be so loud that you can easily hear it from the next room. I read good reviews about the…

Great cable for little money

You can spend an astronomical amount of money on audio cables and connectors, with diminishing returns the more you spend. However, I was very surprised how well these cables work (sound). The bass from my subwoofer sounded clean, crisp and precise. I could hear the instruments clearly, not just the dirty bass thuds one often hears with bad cables or low-quality subwoofers. I have an Audioquest Jitterbug connected to USB 3.0. I connected an Audioquest USB cable to a Jitterbug and to a Cambridge

Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Mediabridge is AWESOME! - I just love this stuff!

Good. I've been an (average) audiophile for a while, and despite how much you can pay for a subwoofer cable, you need to think twice before you splurge unnecessarily on giving up this one. I mean really, you don't have to look too far. Almost all of my home stereos come with Mediabridge cables! Why? Because it works perfectly! Each cable is well designed and looks sharp. The end caps fit snugly into the pickup ends (don't worry about dampening vibration). Gold-plated for perfect contact and…

The cable is probably fine, but this one arrived broken

The cable has a male connector at the end of each RCA connector and this connector allows the cable to go into the jack more securely when the cable is This separation is a great engineering idea and the OTHER Mediabridge cable I ordered (15ft) arrived in perfect condition. as delivered. I was going to return it but figured I could avoid the hassle by connecting the two ends of the "Y". However, when I tried this (using my thumb and forefinger instead of pliers) one of "Y's" legs broke off and…
