🧩 Melissa & Doug Preschool African Puzzle Set - 100 Pieces Review

We buy almost all Melissa & Doug products without hesitation. This puzzle is frustrating for kids and parents. Given the panoramic view, a larger poster/picture inside should be used as a reference. The full size image is tiny and almost impossible to use as a reference. Given the lack of a link I don't think this is suitable for 6+. We can easily fix it.

My son loves this puzzle. We gave him rainforest puzzles and a safari for his 5th birthday. 100 pieces is more than ever and that made things difficult, but he loves all things animal so he was excited. It's over 4 feet tall so you'll need some floor space to assemble it. The pieces are nice and big so they're easy to grab and harder to lose under the sofa.

I bought it for my 3 year old grandson. I didn't know it was too easy for him. At first he refused to assemble it, but insisted on helping his sister craft more difficult ones. The next day I convinced him to try it. After collecting half of the puzzle, he got distracted and left while I completed the rest. So I think it's really too easy and not difficult for him. He is 3.5 years old.

High Quality Jigsaw Puzzle. Fun for families with young children. Read carefully. Not me. This came up in my Revain search for 1000 piece puzzles. In fact, the puzzle consists of only 100 large, palm-sized pieces. Although it's not what I wanted and I opened it I couldn't return it. I have to give it five stars for the quality, shipping speed, etc. There was no false advertising and this is a great 100 piece jigsaw puzzle.

We've always loved M&D products in our home and this is no different. The pieces are thick and durable with a glossy finish. All parts fit together perfectly - no defects. Going from 24 to 45 piece puzzles is quite challenging, but still larger and shorter pieces that aren't that difficult to place. My son loves the pictures too. Very detailed with many animals and an impressive 4ft wide finished piece. It was also GREAT value, especially for M&D quality. Definitely a hit!

My 2 year old is crazy about puzzles and Melissa and Doug solve them correctly. We had a 48 piece floor puzzle and he remembered it so we decided to try the 100 piece puzzle. Just 2 months shy of his 3rd birthday so we were concerned that age 6+ might be too difficult for him but the detail is solid and the image is unique so he had no trouble remembering where the animals should be. Now it needs him every morning! The only downside is that they don't have a photo showing all the animals…

Unfortunately this beautiful puzzle is not the quality of Melissa and Doug. It arrived very quickly within 24 hours and was wrapped in plastic so it looked like new but when I opened the box it was clearly assembled by someone before me. I'm planning to give this to my grandson for his 4th birthday so I wanted to put it together to make sure it was "just right" for his ability before giving it to him. I don't mind someone putting the puzzle back together, but the reason they brought it back…
