Too small.: Nature exploration toy

It is cute but too small for a child to have fun. I bought it for two and four years. That's ridiculously small, even for a two-year-old. The Sunny Patch insect and butterfly net is very beautiful and large. So it was a disappointment. I kept her informed that I should have read the measurements before ordering.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great for beetle lovers!

My son loves bugs and catches anything that moves on the road. He's had his "bug cage" for a few months now and it's holding up great so far! The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that you can't block the lid and sometimes when my son tips the cage to one side the lid opens and releases the bugs. Otherwise super cute and wearable!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Happy Grandson: Nature Exploration Toys

My grandson loves catching bugs and insects and loves this bug carrier. It's the only toy he uses all the time. He calls it his lucky bug. It is very durable. The only negative thing I noticed is that the door is difficult to open at times, but that could be a safety feature. You definitely don't have to worry about it accidentally opening and bugs running into the house, which I really appreciate. :)

Pros
  • Easy to Install
Cons
  • Hard to Tell

Smaller than expected, which turned out great!

Love it! Much smaller than I expected, but it was easier for my little one to wear anyway. The opening sliders open/close easily enough for my 22 month old after training on the first day. You can hear when the hole is securely closed. We bought a pack of plastic bugs and another lizard as well as Jill McDonald's Bugs in the Backyard.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Upgradable

Worth every penny! Really very durable, not like others.

My toddler loves getting bugs and bringing them into the house to 'live with' him. I've had several different types and they all broke the first few times the doors were opened. This seems to be well made. My little boys just complain about the ladybugs coming out. I suspect this is where the handle is attached. Anything else he put in couldn't escape.

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Available in white only

Perfect activity for toddlers of all ages

Bought this along with a Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch of Bugs bag, a set of ten colorful bugs perfect for a buggy house. I bought this for my 15 month old grandson who is tired of his usual toys. He needed more interactive games and his first year mom was playing hide and seek with those bugs outside. He takes his small stroller bag and finds bugs, which she hides in the yard. At first he wasn't sure about the game, but his parents point out the colorful bugs they hide in the grass and under the…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Useless features
