Melissa & Doug Sunny Firefly LED Flashlight Review

My 1.5 year old son loves this flashlight. It's shaped like his father's muggle and he wears it everywhere. It's not bright enough to hurt your eyes, but bright enough to illuminate our vaulted ceilings. Easy on and off for baby hands and very cute beetle design. It is so sweet. Oh, and after a week with him, my son can now say "flashlight"!

Cool flashlight, works great, my daughter likes it. My only concern is that there is no safety to prevent your child from opening the top and removing the batteries. My 3 year old loved going out before bed and using it to read books but one day we found her playing with batteries so we didn't leave him alone in her room anymore, it took a little thought. Outside.

The first one received did not work. Revain shipped a new one asap with no questions asked. Excellent customer service. My 3 year old loves to play with his flashlight looking for "treasure". Dropped a few times, works perfectly. The button must be switched to the on position. He had no problem with this operation since almost all of his toys are like that. Nice sturdy flashlight for little clumsy hands.

I don't like writing negative reviews but I was so disappointed with this product that I should warn others. This brand tries to promote quality and safety, but this product falls short of expectations. It's barely lit, the on/off button barely works as it just flicks randomly, the packaging was already unsealed when we opened the Revain box, and the trim no longer works. Do yourself a favor, just buy a quality flashlight - it's a joke! There are so many better options on the market.

Bought this for my 4 year old son for Christmas as he wanted his own flashlight for his room. I put the batteries in beforehand and put them in his stocking. It worked fine then. Christmas morning came and he wanted to turn it on but it wouldn't work anymore. I checked the batteries, the flashlight was very hot and there was a smell of fire coming from the battery compartment. I used Duracel alkaline batteries from a new pack. Thank goodness I saw it before my 4 year old found out. Will return.

This flashlight is so cute and my kids loved it in the very short time it has been working. This flashlight has had very little use which further illustrates its poor build/design. It just flickered at first, but I was able to tap it lightly on my leg to turn it back on, but in the end even tapping it wouldn't make it stay on. Now, months later, I can't even turn it on.
