A farm to play over and over again!

Since I don't have any grandchildren of my own, I have to borrow four from my neighbors. I didn't know Doug and Melissa but now I know them and their products are amazing. I ordered two farms for two little boys and when they enter grandma's house they try to find her. They play with it a lot and I was very happy with the quality and durability.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Paint is peeling, paint is peeling all around, not recommended

Bought as a gift for someone. Came full of peeling paint, and the paint has clearly peeled off the drawings. The edges of the pieces are rough, as if a child could pick up a small splinter. Serves no purpose as a shape sorter, each piece can fit into any hole by turning it slightly to the side. Only plus point: the parts themselves are nice and chunky and a good size for a small child, a great way to learn about the classics of livestock farming

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Upgradable

M&D quality and design just keeps getting better!

My granddaughter loves to play with this well made stable sorter. It is instructive, attracts attention and dexterity and is visually pleasing with its bright colors. It will last for years and I will keep it so that one day their children can play with them I hope. The wooden parts are neatly carved and the edges are smoothed to protect little hands. Of course, grandmothers who experience a second childhood like to play with their grandchildren (winks, winks).

Pros
  • New
Cons

Not the best for baby and toddler toys

First impressions weren't very good. I figured the pieces would fit the sides of the barn and the backing would be firm so they wouldn't go all the way through. That is not right; This is the hole that a puzzle piece goes through the toy. So I was expecting more of a puzzle than a nudge. Second, my son decided to push it off the coffee table onto the carpet and it fell apart. I was able to put it back together (it didn't look that secure) but after the 3rd or 4th fix it wasn't holding together.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Useless features

The puzzle is not a puzzle

So my kid loves this toy. She loves farm animals. She loves pulling out the pieces and playing with them. Good if you are trying to teach your child about farm animals. However, the puzzle is useless. I tried to teach her how to find the right hole for each animal through trial and error. Can you guess what happened next? She literally put every animal through the same hole. Because if you turn them instead of holding them horizontally, every animal fits in every hole. So if you like farm…

Pros
  • handy piece
Cons
  • so far so good
