It does a great job of filtering, allowing more of the oils and flavors from my freshly ground coffee beans to be absorbed into the beverage. I was expecting the filter to be able to handle some compression for some extra final bits of coffee grounds flavor. It can damage the bottom of the filter if you are not careful. Small package saves space.

I haven't used a drip coffee maker in many years so when I bought it here at Revain I bought it at the same time. If you live near Trader Joe's you are in luck as you can purchase their $1.99 branded item for this item which is identical as far as I can tell. I didn't mind paying $4.99 for them to get them fast, but in the future I will plan ahead and buy them at local TJ stores.

They work well and sometimes natural unbleached brown in size #2 is hard to find at my local grocery store (or stationery store in the grocery aisle). Unbleached brown is as thick as white and never breaks. I like brown paper because it's better for the environment. You can compost it and luckily the bleach never harms marine life or the oceans.
