Finding the right size is important. It needs to be tight to serve its purpose. Also, it should be a bit thicker for more protection. It's not so bad looking at the legs of the chairs.

Our table's legs were not square and flared at the leg. They fit well and stay strong on textured soils. Many skins and sticks met horrible ends, but these things didn't last here. - 1 star because they are kinda ugly.

The hardest part was installing them without help, but because they were easy to install I was able to install them myself. They seem to work on my rattan barstools, but it would be better if the clear plastic part was about half an inch taller. The legs of my stool are unusual in that they have three pieces of rattan joined together on each leg, and each piece of rattan is slightly longer or shorter than the other two.
