Good thing in Wireless Access Points

Good condition. It was easy to request a license for Meraki Dashboard. Works just as well as the other 25 I have. Very satisfied.

Very easy to install and cheaper than other business access points

I was surprised when Cisco bought Meraki as they have always been competitors in the networking market. Meraki's cloud management seems to defy the usual Cisco design of in-house and expensive network management (like Prime or the old Ciscoworks). Instead, Meraki products rely on integrated management through a secure website. Products can be deployed without configuration and then activated and configured remotely. That's how I put the MR-18 in and it was painless. Even though the access point

Don't buy Meraki, buy Ubiquiti.

I have some problems with this device. They're prohibitively expensive and only got wireless G speeds. Ready-made consumer devices or general-purpose devices deliver the speeds actually advertised. I tested them side by side. iPerf keeps showing that they are stuck on the Wireless G. At a few hundred dollars a year, the performance + support is pretty poor. They will refuse to fix or test the problem, saying "That's your problem" and "300MB only in test environments". Interesting since I got…

Nothing else works like Meraki

Nothing else works like Meraki. They just work. They cost 2-3 times more than other devices and come with an annual subscription, but if you need to run a business with more than one hotspot, this is the product you need. You won't get the best range, but you'll get something that will last for years without issue. They have a great single SSID for 2.4 and 5GHz plus other cool features with an indication of which APs get which SSIDs if you want to use multiple SSIDs for different functions and…

If you want the best!

The best access point on the market. Meraki cloud software and analytics tools are second to none. If you create a mesh where you don't have an ethernet cable, you can daisy chain access points. You'll be amazed when you look at cloud software and all the options you have to set up your network. Meraki's products were developed by a splinter group of Cisco engineers who couldn't bring their ideas to Cisco, so they founded Meraki. . Meraki is so good that Cisco bought the company in 2013.
