Great back! the best in my rating

Great boots, comfortable and practical for country walks or off-road touring. Sturdy and well made. Bought another pair of Merrell's before this pair but the sizing was really wrong. They fit perfectly but just by accident I think. it is UK 4 and Euro 36. I usually wear Euro 36 but this is the first time I see that they go with UK 4?! In any case they fit and I am very happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • I bought these shoes for fishing/hiking, they are good for hiking and fishing as they are waterproof.
Cons
  • These boots arrived as if they had been worn and the laces on the sides had snapped. Not cool. return for refund.

Excellent grip and comfort

The sole of these sneakers is very soft, which makes them very grippy. Smaller feet don't need to be broken in and my kids were immediately happy with the fit. There's a lot of padding, but they still fit well enough for kids to have good control. I look forward to hearing from the kids once they go camping.

Pros
  • I've tried cutting the knot and not damaging the boot but the son says it still bothers him, that's his only complaint.
Cons
  • The shoes broke in a short time in just a month.

Great shoes for my feet

I have had several pairs of Merrill products for many years. They might not be the best hiking shoes out there, but for me it's amazing how well they fit my slightly wide and flat feet. They last a long time and the impregnation lasts at least a couple of years. This far exceeds my expectations as I live in the Pacific Northwest. So if you have feet like mine then I would highly recommend Merrell.

Pros
  • I bought them as a present. They fit perfectly and we're confident they will last as long as the previous pair of Merrells.
Cons
  • Not very easy to care for

Good shoes, but run small and narrow

The shoes fit really well. Half a size larger than old age shoes and they fit perfectly. They are very light and yet very robust. The shoes have already been tested on a number of hikes and I am very impressed. No foot pain at the end of the hike.

Pros
  • My son loves these hiking shoes! Will definitely buy another pair when he outgrows these.
Cons
  • Uncomfortable, not enough pillows and runs small

Lack - my feedback on my opinion

There is no reinforcement on the rivet holding the metal loop in place. Since I bought them for a good price on Black Friday, I decided to fix them myself. Otherwise they seem to be great kids boots. We'll be testing them on the track soon.

Pros
  • Good quality
Cons
  • Boots are leaking. My granddaughter was walking on our dewy grass and her socks were wet.

Good shoes, but run small and narrow

These are good lightweight all-weather walking shoes, but they are small and narrow. We ordered the wide and plus sizes and they were still short and too tight.

Pros
  • My son seems to like them, the only downside was the color choice.
Cons
  • The strap broke on my first ride. The soles are very slippery, you have to break them in. Robust and reliable

Sturdy and well made, super comfortable

What does a toddler need with 4 other pairs of walking shoes you ask? This couple too, of course! It must have been a good deal because now he has 8 pairs!

Pros
  • loved her!!! Very well done 👍🏻 You look amazing!!! 100% recommended!! I will buy again!
Cons
  • Not very breathable

Boots Little Hiker wp

This little wp walker is exactly what we were looking for! My little lady says it was very comfortable and kept her feet warm and dry during our cold/wet hikes in Western Australia this winter! Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Large
Cons
  • Not very eco-friendly

I absolutely love this shoe. I've had two, but both pairs had the tape on the left leg ripped just below the piece of metal within a month of ownership, and I don't even wear them every day. Thus, after about 10 times, the band will be pulled out and cannot be used to secure the laces. You don't feel safe without it. Without that design flaw, they would be my favorite shoe.

Pros
  • I love this shoe. Looks great, good quality and fits as expected.
Cons
  • Finding a retailer that sells them can be difficult

Great shoes and fit me

Bought these Merrells for my eleven year old, ordered a size 6, his foot length is about 9.5 inches so they fit perfectly and have some room to spare. The laces are strong but a bit flimsy. So if your kids are used to regular sneaker laces, it will take them a few times to get used to them. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • They were perfect for Boy Scout camp, comfortable and durable.
Cons
  • Not very durable

Quality problems are good for me

The inner fabric around Achilles was wrinkled on both boots, but quite badly on the left boot. Would give my kid big blisters during our long hike. That's Merrell's problem. Gave them back and went to the REI. The boots there had the same problem (but not all).

Pros
  • It's ok but not like the adult version. The sole is not vibram, the sole feels soft.
Cons
  • Arch support is not very good

Drawstring loop broken

We bought these hoping for a comfortable walking shoe with good support. But the second time my daughter put it on, the top loop holding the cord just snapped! I want to return these shoes. We expected much better Merrel quality

Pros
  • son loves her.
Cons
  • Materials can quickly become unusable

Great sneakers in my review

Ordered for my son and these boots kept his feet dry and cozy on cold rainy days. We did some easy trails in northern Michigan and the weather was cold and wet with rain. My son has approved of these boots.

Pros
  • Bought for my daughter to go hiking. Very comfortable, not slippery on ice
Cons
  • It takes a long time to crack

Low quality in my rating.

When I opened the box they looked nice, sturdy and fit very well. After ONE DAY of wearing it became apparent that the quality is below the baseboard. Maybe it was fake or something, I don't know. Look at the photo - this is what they looked like on the first (and last) day at school.

Pros
  • They are true to size and are durable. They will come in handy when hiking in the mountains of Georgia.
Cons
  • Not very versatile

Warm and waterproof in my opinion

I bought these boots for hiking New England during the winter months. I try to walk 3-4 miles every day and find my feet are cold. These boots are comfortable, very WARM and waterproof. i just love her It took a little while to break them in, but I'm very happy.

Pros
  • Fits perfectly. Great hiking shoe
Cons
  • Expensive

Solid new review in my review

These shoes are well made and have held up very well so far after being pushed to the limit both outdoors and indoors by my exuberant 4 year old.

Pros
  • Merrill is here. You get what you buy. Would buy again. The grandson will outgrow them before they wear out.
Cons
  • Shoelaces can be easily untied

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comfortable and dry

My high school student wore them for a 3 day hike/trek up NH mountain. He said his feet stayed dry crossing a shallow river and in the rain. They felt comfortable during their 5-mile hike up the 3,700+ foot mountain.

Pros
  • Great shoes for working around the yard and feeding farm animals!
Cons
  • Toe is too narrow

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good, but not outstanding: my review

In general, a good economical children's hiking shoe. The rubber outsole is grippy. This is not a Vibram composite. The insole is wafer thin so I will be buying my 11 year old a new thicker insole for arch support. Let's see how it holds up.

Pros
  • I'm not tall, the high top made me uncomfortable.
Cons
  • Not very flexible

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pleases the most demanding child!

My 10 year old is so picky about EVERYTHING and even he loved them - he said they were comfortable - loved the look and his feet felt good after a 3 hour hike.

Pros
  • Seems to fit right. My nephew carried them with me all day on camping trips. They said they were comfortable
Cons
  • Didn't fit well. Returned.

I love Merrells best in my review

I have been buying Merrells for many years, a friend had foot problems and I would like him to try the Merrells and he is not 100% but much better since he put them on.

Pros
  • I was told to put them on and they conform to your feet but it's tricky when they're a bit tight.
Cons
  • Limited color options
