Great hiking shoes, the best in my review

Ordered for my 7 year old daughter. Since we go hiking regularly, I was looking for durable and comfortable shoes. So far she has been happy with it.

Pros
  • Exactly as described.
Cons
  • Pressure points in shoes can lead to injuries and pain.

Crappy craftsmanship: my review

My kid has worn these shoes maybe 5 times since we received them and the laces that hold the shoes together have already unraveled. It's not a string or two on a foot. It's both the shoes and a couple of frayed strings. Complete junk shoes. We will go elsewhere, hopefully for better shoes.

Pros
  • Durable and beautiful appearance.
Cons
  • We bought 3 pairs for our boys and all 3 pairs fell apart within 2 months of light use. Don't buy this!

Poorly made shoes

We bought these shoes for my son as we hike a lot. He didn't wear them until September 12th. We've done a few hikes since then but no playgrounds, muddy puddles or anything like that. Two days ago we put them on for a walk and the lace snapped and then we found that the eyelets that hold the lace in place fell apart. Wow! Less than a month. I also have two days after my return. Very disappointing! Poorly made shoes. Buy elsewhere and save your money.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

First walking shoes

Well I'm a grown woman but I wear boyish clothes. I started hiking a lot with my nephew and he introduced me to the Merell brand. And I ordered a size 4 in width and walked this little girl for the first time yesterday. We walked over hills and pastures where there was tall grass, rocks, and slippery, dry ground. Not to mention cows. Yes cows lol. And let me tell you, my feet felt the difference. These are great shoes and very durable. We ran 2 miles last night and I know I was well equipped…

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • I don't remember

Not real hiking shoes. Not strong enough

Although these shoes fit my wide footed son well, their ability to negotiate rough terrain makes them not true hiking shoes. We bought them especially for my son so he can play with lots of rocks in the garden (that's what sneakers are for). We were at Disney for 10 days and the shoes looked great on the sidewalk. Three weeks later, playing in the backyard, the shoes looked like this. My son is not rough with shoes but the terrain is rocky and lives in the desert. He had a pair of old, hard…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • High price
