    Wide, not very wide.

    These shoes looked good but we had to send them back because they were too tight. We ordered a large width and it wasn't much wider than a medium width shoe. Please make wide shoes wider!

    These shoes are fantastic and last a very long time if you have spare laces. My daughter liked them so much that a year later she asked for the same shoes for a second time. Fast delivery. Fits perfectly.

    Didn't stick in my head

    We bought these for our 8 year old son hoping they would last the whole school year. Should be for the price. These shoes lasted 2 months and now we are buying new shoes again. We'll probably return to Keanes. Last year they did this for a whole year.

    Great shoes - my son has been wearing a size 5 big kids for over a year and they still look good.

    My son has had these shoes for a year and they are holding up very well. They made it big. Size 5 was almost like size 6 on other shoes. I would buy them again if the same color was available.

    Durable, comfortable, ideal for all activities. She feels very comfortable in it!

    Very comfortable stable shoe for my 9 year old for all outdoor activities from hiking, cycling, walking and just playing. They are very durable. I would highly recommend them and we have tried so many shoes over the years. These are by far the highest quality and most durable of all. So happy I bought them for her. I sized her to have some room to grow and she does, but the laces are also high quality and make her look nice, snug and supportive all around.

    Pretty slippery when wet

    This product is great and I have nothing bad to say about it. The only issue I had was that they get very slippery on a hard flat surface when the floor is wet.

    Very disappointed - we love the Merrell shoes for my very active, difficult to wear daughter, but these lasted less than 2 months. The lace holders are too exposed and worn.

    Check the return policy

    Shame on me for not reading Shoebacca's return policy. The shoes didn't fit my son, returned unworn. I got $5.50 for a pair of $25 shoes. I would donate them if I understood.

    Great shoes - short laces

    We are Merrell supporters! When transitioning to the "next level" lace-up shoes, extra lace play is a MUST. They were too short and forget the double knot! I had to order different laces. So the big discount on the shoes cost me $10 more. Not so much, but there is something to consider.

    Loud bang on top of left shoe when walking!

    Nice looking shoe but there is a loud click at the top of the left boot. Soft sound from the right boot. Too bad because it would probably be a good boot.

    The pair we got was rubbish rubbish rubbish!

    These shoes broke very quickly. The outsole, where it folds towards the toe, started falling apart after a few weeks. DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES IF YOU WANT DURABLE SHOES! I don't like leaving bad reviews, but it was funny how quickly they sold out. Merell. Where is the quality I keep hearing about?

    Poor quality

    The tip is so worn and damaged that it can no longer be used. These laces look nothing like your regular laces and are hard to find. I called Merrell just to have the laces replaced. Not only do they not sell laces, but Merrell recommends a website to buy laces that are overpriced for children's laces.

    I wish there was a 3.5 star option

    I bought 2 pairs of these shoes for my 7 and 10 year old boys to use on their upcoming hike. I had the boys wear them 2 months early to break them in and use them for short weekend hikes. They did not get blisters and felt comfortable. They have a good grip but my 10 year old's shoes started falling apart after 3 weeks of wearing.
