🍴 Mess Kit Utensil Set: Fork, Knife, and Spoon Review

I ordered 2 of these sets, they were sent separately and the first set arrived in perfect condition. The second set arrived the next day, it contained only a spoon, no fork, no knife.

This set is close to the military theme. I'm an ARMY veteran and I know the models released are made by the Utica Cutlery Company and feel more solid and durable in my hand than these.

The product was good quality, excellent item but only the head of the fork and spoon had no knife, it would be ideal if the set was to be a set of fork, spoon and knife , but there was only fork and spoon. If they were complete, it would be five stars.

I have purchased several of these sets and found that some of them are short tine fork sets and some are long tine forks. ALSO one knife in the set turned black and started to rust as soon as it got wet in the first wash I gave them. Draw your own conclusions, but I'll be careful about ordering more of these

Items were exactly as described when ordering. The item is new. I like this set for its size but not that much extra weight, more than the standard camping/hiking essentials. In particular, the spoon is larger than what you see in the camping/hiking ad. This allows for better mixing and the ability to include something other than a "baby" bite at mealtime, particularly a stew or soup.

This is NOT a US GI. The packaging clearly says "Made in CHINA". The military does not buy or sell goods from CHINA. Although it has a US stamp on it. It's meant to be sold as a "replica" it really does look real and if it weren't for the packaging it could easily be fooled into believing it was real. GI release. I'm just keeping this because it's not what I expected from the US military.

Excellent cookware. Durable and functional! Maybe not as portable as some of the other camping options or lunch boxes, but definitely very functional and I think fun to have and use. And still compact and folds away or can be hung from a carabiner or some sort of clip. I don't know if this is a current military issue, but I love knowing that the same paraphernalia used to support our troops are still as functional as ever!

They look really authentic but my whole family is military and I use military stuff every day and I didn't want to break the set that I use for dinner every day so I saw this set, so i bought it and i finally went to use it and i used a fork and one of the tines that was bent when i poked into the chicken breast and i really want to know if they are stainless steel , because my magnet stuck to it! But I will keep this set for myself and harden the metal to make them stronger than they were!

I bought these from a military surplus/resale dealer in the United States. I am happy with the dishes. The spoon and knife were from Utica and the fork from Silco Stainless. The plug is definitely lighter than other devices. After a little research, I discovered that Silco makes stainless steel cookware for the military.
