Description of Messermeister Meridian Elite Black Utility Knife - 4.5-Inch

The German 1.4116 high-carbon, stainless alloy blade resists stains and corrosion, exhibits toughness and durability, holds its edge retention, and is easy to re-sharpen to a razor-like edge. This knife line is one-piece, hot-drop hammer forged, which produces the strongest blade from heel to tip. The blades are heat treated and cooled to achieve a Rockwell of 57-58. The three-step, 15 degree “Elite” edge is hand stropped on a cloth wheel, creating the sharpest possible cutting surface on an edged tool. The bolsterless heel simplifies all cutting, sharpening & honing tasks, making use of the entire blade from heel to tip. Handcrafted in the historic cutlery capital of Solingen, Germany. The Knife for Life guarantee provides a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects.

Great everyday pairing knife and long enough to use as a .

Great everyday knife, long enough to use as a roast chicken deboner. Holds the edge well. The handle is smaller but I highly recommend it as an option for a double/small boning knife.

Greta knife on paring knife

I bought this in a 4 inch model and at the same time in a 3.5 inch Wüsthof model. First of all, I love them both. I am very happy with both and use both. One of my tests, however, is which one I do first when both are there. I reach for the knife master. And to top it all off, so does my wife, and we don't agree on everything :-) Feels good in the hand. That's the right length. No slip. we are both happy

Quality and value for money is good for paring knife

This knife is of very high quality and good value for money. Cooking a lot from scratch means using your paring knife many times a week. Meridian Elite is a great tool that you will use for decades. I have also had another Messermeister knife for over 15 years that I use every day. He had a problem with the handle and Messermeister followed his Knife For Life policy and sent me a new one. Great knives and great service.
