It feels solid and I like the fact that it's compact. I'm not sure whose brilliant idea it was to place the protective (and grippy) pads on the underside in a recess so they don't make secure contact with the underlying surface. I bought this stand to set up my laptop as a desktop. My laptop is on the lowest level and is connected to a large monitor that sits on top of the stand. I didn't look closely enough at the picture, so I assumed there was room at the bottom for my keyboard, but it wasn't wide enough (hence the four stars instead of five). However, it's still great for providing airflow under my laptop that my previous single-tier stand lacked.

The shelves don't flex easily and feel like they can support a lot of weight for the stand. I bought this mainly to hold my consoles and give them better airflow. It doesn't disappoint! Sturdy stand that is easy to assemble. I see others have received it with scratches etc but mine arrived in excellent cosmetic condition. The only problem was that on a perfectly flat surface, left to right and back to the reception desk, the bottoms of the two shelves were perfectly level in either direction, but the left side of the top shelf was offset from left to right by about a quarter of an inch. right and back to front. The simple solution was to bend one of the two supports into a "C"

Overall I am very happy with this monitor stand. I got it to have more space at my small kitchen table as I work from home more often. The extra shelf in the center is perfect for storing a keyboard or notepad when not in use, and I can slide my Chromebook down so it's out of the way. The assembly was very easy. All the details were included in the box. All I had to do was screw in 4 nuts, then 4 bolts and tighten all. Just make sure the support arms are on the correct side before screwing them
