It was exactly as described. It's easy to find an adapter from a standard antenna to an aftermarket radio, but Amazon is the only place I've been able to find an adapter to go the other way. You need both to connect Sirius Direct in a GM vehicle. I installed it on a 2001 Grand Am and it works great.

GM micro adapter community antenna. I'm assuming you had to replace the antenna and antenna cable, but you want to keep the stock GM head unit.

Works as needed. I added an iSimple built in antenna FM modulator and needed it to reconnect to the factory GM radio. I got another adapter that went from a micro plug to a standard jack, then to an FM box, then through a standard plug to this adapter back to a mini jack on the back of my GM radio. Works perfectly! Using this on my 2001 Grand Am.
