Description of Enhance Your Rabbit and Houdini Corkscrews with Metrokane Replacement Worm - 2 Spirals!

Corkscrew spiral, also called the worm, fits all Rabbit and Houdini corkscrews from Metrokane. Replacement wine corkscrew is constructed of high-tensile steel with mini-bearings in head. Triple-layer non-stick coating glides in and out of cork easily for a smoother cork extraction every time. Simply unscrew the old worm and remove, slip the new corkscrew in place. Worms need to be replaced after approximately 800 to 1,000 cork pulls; open lots of wine bottles with just one cork spiral.

Doesn't match my original.

This is a really odd design and the hex head is too thick for my cork removal tool. They may work on other devices but not mine.

Corkscrew Metrokane Rabbit doesn't fit

The picture on the site doesn't match the product I received. The Metrokane worm has a flat and round head. The one I received is hexagonal and will not work with a Rabbi corkscrew.

  • Only positive
Cons
  • I'll write later

The step is wrong, this is not a genuine Metrokane product.

Rabbit hardly ever spins. Not like in the photo. Doesn't really work, pitch is disabled. Got a refund. Kudos to Revain for this but despite the description this is not a very good part and buying one is a waste of time.

Do not buy from iFerrum.

I bought this from iFerrum and the item that was delivered is NOT a Metrocan worm but a cheap fake. Different length, different pitch, no bearing on top and doesn't fit. The item received will differ significantly from that shown in the listing. I've learned my lesson.

Restored my Rabbit wine opener to its former glory

Somehow no matter how clumsy the device is and how confident one of them will become the best wine opener after purchase, I found I always went back to the standard two-handed corkscrew . Once the worms on the bunny went blunt, he returned to the two-handed Sally until I saw her and commanded. When a rabbit is working, it is doing great. The only problem is that you have to change the worms after about 50 bottles, which of course can spoil the evening libations.

  • Great selection

  • Nothing

Exactly what I needed.

After a long season of perfect use, my rabbit corkscrew (long time from Costco) stopped opening bottles. It popped as expected but never removed the cork (either natural or synthetic). The screw simply slides up/down. I thought the popularity of these corkscrews would drive prices down, but the opposite is true, so just buying a brand new block seemed unwise. Finding them in a Metrocan was ideal in terms of cost and functionality. Now I have my trusty old hand - as good as new. Highly…

Fits BonJour Chateau Deluxe

My trusted BonJour Chateau Deluxe wine opener has worked for years. Suddenly the device pushed into a very tight cork on a bottle of sparkling wine and didn't come out. It turns out that the worm (corkscrew) shrinks, becomes shorter and no longer fits properly. These new coils fit perfectly and run smoothly. Very satisfied. I've also found that a drop of oil where the spool spins on the cap makes it spin easier (there are signs of wear under the cap) and even down the length of the spool helps…

Doesn't fit right. Falling apart after one use.

Picture note: two top screws replaced, bottom screw original. As far as I can tell, it can't be Metrokane. The original has a steel pin set into a flange that is flush with the top of the pin. The replacement purchased has a hex bolt protruding from the washer. The extra height prevents the cap from screwing in properly, which keeps the "worm" in place. So it falls off easily and I would expect the threads to be snapped. Also the purchased replacement has a threaded screw unlike the original…
