Absolute rubbish, the best inverter

This power supply has terrible filtering and will shut down if the device powering it is emitting RF on the ham radio bands. Even with good RF grounding it still trips and thinks it's an overcurrent. Don't waste your money on this device. Spend a little more and get an Astron or Tripp Lite linear power supply instead.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

Lots of power at a very reasonable price.

Large easy to read meters for selected voltage and amount of current transferred. I use it to power the new Yaesu FTM-400DR at 13.8 volts with all the power I need. This unit will later be fitted to my SUV, perhaps when gas prices allow me to get back on the road. In the meantime, I'll use it as a base station while mastering all of its features.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • OK

Please note that the warranty does NOT cover damage to any attached equipment, including $6,000 worth of items here, so I stopped using it until I 1) opened it up and checked it with an imaging IR meter and 2) got a crowbar put on exit. . This should work at 16V DC (exactly), avoid negative voltage and handle 100A DC until the MFJ fuses blow. If my MFJ…
