Not 9 speed.

I ordered a full 9 speed kit and upon installation found that the derailleur only had 5 clicks, limiting my 11-42 speed to 6 speeds. So I put the derailleur on the inside of the wheel to eliminate the 3 smallest gears. Not a big deal as my m2s e-bike is mainly used off-road in mountainous terrain.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The little werewolf who could!

Works great! And feels very good. I like that I can switch between Friction and Indexed. No complaints at all. Slightly more expensive compared to other switches. Keep in mind that this model will not only work with Advent shifters due to different cable tension and whatnot. Overall a great little system. Definitely worth upgrading if you have a standard Deore or less. Not as good as the high end stuff but for the price you can't beat it.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Crumpled

shifts down when driving over rough terrain

Should have bought a traditional trigger switch. I don't like that now I can't flip the bike and put all the gears in with this design. Also, the top hex bolt must be tight enough to aid in downshifting when descending rough terrain. On a road or gravel bike, or maybe very soft mountain bike trails, this isn't an issue. It's nice to be able to shift up and down multiple gears in one movement. The Advent cassette and rear derailleur are great, but I would have preferred a traditional rearโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Hard to tell
