This is my ***fifth*** case since I bought my Surface Pro 3 in 2014. I received this keyboard today, brand new in the box. It's a different model from the previous four, but it has the same soft "feel" of the buttons as the one it just replaced (which only lasted three months before malfunctioning). The keyboard works well, attached with magnets that snap into place. But this type of keyboard suffers from a lack of repetitive keys. You're typing on the Surface Pro and it spits out a whole bunch of fffffs or something, and it doesn't stop until you hit enter. This is an inherent flaw in the keyboard's design. Microsoft has completely failed their customers with these TypeCover keyboards. This is well documented on Microsoft's corporate/corporate and individual support sites. Updates and workarounds won't do anything - and even a warranty replacement won't solve it - since it's an OS/firmware issue that they won't fix.
