Optimized Microsoft Surface RT and Surface 2 HD Digital A/V Adapter Review

I couldn't connect my surface RT to a TV (tried 3 TVs) or laptop (tried 2), my roommate tore the packaging so I can't return. Please try another adapter or brand.

Good solid cable that I use to connect my surface to my tv. Before we had a video streaming device, I used this cable so we could watch Netflix and Hulu. Unfortunately, when we got the Roku, I didn't have to use the cable anymore. It's a bit dated for me, but handy to have just in case. However, it works.

It does what a Microsoft Surface RT should do. It mounts flush to the side of the surface and works with all HDMI ports. For some reason, and that might just be me, it doesn't look as sharp as HDMI should and that's why I gave it 4 stars. He does what he has to do and that's all I can ask.

My wife bought this cable to connect the Surface RT to the TV for an essential oils lesson she was working on. It worked perfectly. Everything went perfectly and I couldn't have asked for a better cable to connect the surface. Would recommend to anyone who wants to connect their Surface tablet to their TV.

Works great. If your TV only has HDMI sockets, there must be a cable between your adapter and the TV as the HDMI end of this adapter is a female connector. Luckily, the mounts we bought for our flat screen came with a 10ft cable with plugs on both ends. I have included the mount we purchased below. Another great solution. Exactly the same adapter you get when you order direct from Microsoft but without the $40 price tag. Works great as if HDMI was connected directly. The people who gave it low ratings are idiots who don't read item descriptions, don't be held back. This is for the Microsoft Surface, just like the very first Surface. Not Surface 2, Surface Pro, Surface Pro 2 or later models. Would you buy a case for your iPhone 5 if it just said "iPhone Case"? no don't be a sheep
