Doesn't work with SurfacePro 4

This connection doesn't work with SurfacePro 4. After trying to connect for over an hour, I started investigating the issue. It turns out a lot of people have trouble connecting their Surface to another monitor, especially 4s. I bought a basic Revain HDMI to Mini DisplayPort cable and it works great. Don't waste your money on the Microsoft brand.

Expensive but didn't have to return original.

Expensive but I had to send the replica product back because it didn't work. This worked great right out of the box. I have a Surface Book with a docking station. This worked both on the laptop itself and when connected to a docking port.

This does not work for Surface 4 + Dock + External Monitor combo

I am having trouble controlling an external monitor through MS Surface Dock for my Surface 4 This MS product will solve the problem. However, this did not solve the problem. Searching the web I found that version 2.0 might work. But I'm not sure if this particular product is version 2.0 or not. If you are looking for this product to solve similar problems I had, please be careful.

You get what you pay for

This is the second mini display I've bought for my Surface. The first was a cheap POS with poor picture and sound quality. Bite the bullet to pay more for this mini display. Great overall quality! In short, you get what you pay for. I highly recommended this product.
