The bristles fall out.

The bristles on this brush are loose and fall out easily. Even the centrifugal force of a drill at low speed will make them fire. The result is an uneven brush.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Vulgarity

"POOR PRODUCTION "

Wire bristles fall out and I mean big time. I would never buy this product again, period. Save money and buy a good chimney brush even if you have to pay more.

Good at best for cleaning tools

Should be 6" but is a bit smaller, doesn't fit 6" pipes at all, cleans heavy build up but leaves a lot. My old metal brush was dense and cleaned the chimney much better.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Has issues

Sturdy, safe and effective for cleaning a chimney

Attached this to a long post with a collar and nut to keep it from slipping, worked well and helped keep my chimney safe, a few passes and my wood stove it was full of charcoal from the chimney which could cause a fire in the chimney! Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

The right tool for the job.

The brush worked well. I used it in a 6" pipe which was tight but I had quite a bit of creosote so couldn't easily put it back in. It has a hook on the end so next time I'll probably attach a rope to it in case it gets stuck and I can just pull it out.

Pros
  • health and life
Cons
  • weak

Good quality but not perfect.

Do not buy this if you have a square or rectangular clay fireplace. Don't hit corners. It's too difficult for him to get into the corners. Good quality, just didn't fit my chimney. In addition, this bracket and rods (sold separately) are screwed together. This allows them to work freely in the chimney. Mine opened halfway and got stuck. I had to tap it and slowly lower it down the chimney into my fireplace. He needs a place to attach a safety wire/pin so he can't come loose. I can drill a small

Great DIY Tool

After reading conflicting reviews about this product and the competitors' products, I settled on this company's 6 inch metal wire brush. I used it for the first time about a week ago and it worked great. After attaching the recommended extensions, I slid the brush down the pipe from the roof. I pushed straight down with medium pressure until I felt resistance where the pipe bends towards the stove. Apply additional pressure to erase the curve. The brush got stuck, but with a sharp tug it came…
