These real bags work well, are easy to use and even easier when it comes time to get rid of them without making any more mess.

I have always been enthusiastic about these high-quality bags. I wish they were cheaper, of course, but the XL bag of Miele vacuum bags seems like a luxury. Do I need so many things available at the same time? no But I don't think I've ever regretted it. Every time I see a box in my closet I think... "Cool.".

I am sure the GN bags are ok as they are sold by MIELE and not an aftermarket dealer. But if you look at what is sold IN GOOD MAGNETIC GLASS, you probably won't notice that not all filters are really regular filters. Even the regular "2" filters are not the same quality and quality as the filters sold with the $1100 Vac we bought. But you really can't expect the full truth in sales anymore unless you see it in person.

I decided to spend the extra money on branded bags as I would probably get better quality. I have bought the Miele brand before. Guess what? They changed the way they were made and now it's cheap crap and worse than generics. One of the seals on the opening of the packaging had been ripped off and was floating freely in the factory sealed box! I still have one of the old ones and can see how Miele redesigned the valve pintle to be cheaper and thinner. If it can break in the box I can't imagine…
