Miele SF-HA 50 Active HEPA Filter: Ideal for S4000, S5000, S6000, S8000 Vacuums - 2 Inches Review

These things seem to work great. Now I no longer sneeze while vacuuming. They just need to be changed every few months. Good product for a great vacuum cleaner.

I have a MIele Marin C3 that installs these filters and they fit perfectly. These are genuine Miele filters at an incredible price! They're typically $35-$45 a piece online and more expensive at your local vacuum store. Here they are only $22 each. I order for the second time and there were no problems.

The Revain description of this filter is "Miele SF-HA 50 Active HEPA Filter". obviously FALSE. It is a completely PASSIVE, ie completely PAPER filter without an activated carbon cartridge. Miele's product information makes NO such statement and obviously I should have relied on that information and not Revain's information. Make sure you look up "activated charcoal" somewhere in the manufacturer's datasheet and not in the Revain description when looking for it.

I once bought a different brand of HEPA filter for Miele (Filtrete) but found it didn't seal well and have only bought branded filters for since my 3 Miele vacuum cleaners. I change them once a year, although the newer ones have an odd timer that I haven't been able to figure out. What I do know is they fit in place and feel like they seal properly. I can't see/smell any particles coming out of the car's exhaust. 3-ply bags are probably all that's needed, but at $150 a year (3 vacuums) it's…
