It stopped every door I used it on, including heavy ones, and its rubber base didn't scratch my floors .I also appreciated its slim profile, which allowed me to use it even in tight spaces. My analysis of this product showed that it does not work as a doorstop at all... It's made of weak material that gets squished when trying to hold a door open, making it completely useless. On THE plus side it is affordable, but you get what you pay for. Save your money and invest in a better quality doorstop that actually does the job..
