Easy to handle - small animals

Reinforcement and modification of 'foldable' cages like Midwest Rabbittat. I also wash them in pool acid to remove the zinc plating and weld them to the frame to attach the hardware to the steel. Baste, flatten the fabric, tap the letter "J" with a hammer.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Not Impressed - Homes and Habitats

Didn't work for my project and I don't really think I'll ever use them. I'm working with 1/2" x 1/2" metal mesh to build a chicken coop and it's too small for pliers. And the clips are small and very difficult to edit. I ended up using pork rings

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some Cons

I am not at all happy with these J-Clamps, they are very flimsy and keep slipping out of the chicken coop I have used them on. I would prefer to return the unopened bag for a partial refund. Definitely not the quality I was used to when making rabbit cages as a kid.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Work great, get some good pliers.

These are J-clips, what can I say. They work and are what you need to make wire cages for animals :) If you plan on building multiple cages, buy Bass' heavy-duty J-clip pliers and your hands will thank you. Cheap pliers don't last long and your hands start hurting right away, believe me I tried to be cheap the first time, it's not worth it.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Discontinued model

Cheap flimsy material

Having run out of cage clamps I bought 15 years ago I read a lot of good reviews about these Miller cage clamps so I bought 2 packs, these clamps are not like that thick The old ones work fine but I don't think they last or will last long. They're made of a cheap, flimsy material that's more like tin foil than galvanized steel. It's sad that everything is made cheaper these days

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket

They do their job.: Houses and habitats

So far so good. They're flexible and easy to pull apart with regular pliers, but they seem to do the job for my project of attaching metal mesh to a chain link fence to protect my chickens. Note that the pliers I bought were better and worked great, and my chain link kennel isn't very heavy and doesn't move, so it was an easy project. I think only time will tell if they hold up well enough to keep raccoons off my chickens!

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive
