Durable and worthy!

When I bought this screwdriver I had almost no expectations and assumed it would only be used once. I was pleasantly surprised that the tip didn't break or bend during use. Holds up great with no visible damage to the edges and the hole appears dead.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Crumpled

Cheaply made but works.

If you need to install RAM in your Mac Mini, you will need it. A little longer would have been better as the screws were tight. If you install/remove RAM frequently, I'd look for something a little tougher. But it was a one-time setup for me, so it worked well.

Works great with Mac Mini 2020

Works as advertised. Opened my MacMini 2020 to upgrade the memory. Accessing RAM was a little more involved than I expected, but this tool certainly made it easier to complete. As for durability, it looks like it will hold up well. I am very satisfied for the price.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons

That's wrong, but they're in the home camp.

I don't know if Ring changed the screws or what but this one doesn't fit. This is too little. This is a T6 tamper evident torx, you will need a T15 tamper evident torx. I got a full set of these tamper evident torxes at my store at home for $8. Those are the ones with the hole in the middle.

The right tool for the job

I know. It's just a screwdriver. However, I work in IT, mainly on PCs, but I also service Apple products. I bought the iFixit toolkit some time ago and it did all my tasks without any problems. I recently bought a new Mac Mini and wanted to replace it. HDD to SSD. I figured I could do this with my usual tool kit, but low and lo! Apple added a new preventative maintenance procedure for something that should be very easy to do. The only way to remove those security screws is with the T6 driver…

Great tool. This guy understands the frustration of finding this tool.

I bought a Mac mini and I need to update it. I've done this before and figured it wouldn't be a problem. Apple, in its infinite wisdom, chose to use "protective" screws. They use regular size end tools but have a pin that sticks out at the top so you need a small hole at the top. I tried to borrow it from an electronics shop (they fix flat screen TVs) but they didn't have it. Couldn't find it at nearby Sears. So I went to my trusty Harbor Freight and bought a set, but the bit was so small the…
