🔥 Mishimoto MMRAD-S2K-00 Performance Aluminum Radiator for Honda S2000 2000-2009: Enhance Cooling Efficiency Review

Excellent cooler! It really made my OEM heatsink look pretty pathetic. I would recommend it to any S2000 owner even if they haven't had to change the heatsink yet. The camp heater is the item that saved them money. Plastic tanks won't love you for long.

The lower screw that closes the drain plug has broken off in the radiator. I suspect it was twisted when installed at the factory. The mounting of the fan mounts was perfect. Was excited to set this up. Unfortunately, I was looking forward to a working machine today.

Installation was easy as it is a premium product. All mounting points are in place and the fan assembly mounting pins are perfectly aligned. Thanks to Mishimoto for another great product. After this installation I bought their oil cooler kit, installation is easy as all the plumbing provided was perfect!

Fits in the radiator shaft of my AP1 S2K without any problems. The original fans are installed incorrectly. I ended up buying inconspicuous Spal fans. They fit perfectly with the Spal fan mounts. Otherwise there were no other problems. The Mishimoto cooler looks great and does the job. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the fan installation issues. Everything else works fine.

So far so good, it's been in my 2004 S2k for about 2 months now. Got this as a replacement when the OEM started leaking from the top where the foam got wet. The mechanic I know installed it without any rework or problems. As with all aluminum construction, looks and performance are added. The standard fan could fit on it. I added fresh blue Honda coolant with purple EIS when I read about someone using it but it didn't drop the normal range bars on the temp gauge as I read in the review. hope it

The quality of the radiator itself is excellent, the installation of standard fans is crap. I had to shave a quarter inch from each latch on the bottom and push the fan down to align it with the screws. I also had to move the fan sensor on the passenger side as it doesn't fit the stock air intake. If it didn't all have to be shaved, trimmed and removed, it would be a 30 minute job. Amenities were poor at best. The biggest problem is the temperature sensor, which is screwed into the bottom of the radiator. The OE cooler is at an angle to allow the o-ring on the sensor to seal properly, the Mishi doesn't have that angle so the sensor falls off before the o-ring closes causing an awkward leak!
