I really like this tool!

Love this tool! Very well made, slim, easy to read dial. I had a white faced caliper with .200 inches per revolution on the dial. The graduations on the dial were too small for those aging eyes. I really prefer the new .100 inch per revolution. This Mitutoyo goes back to zero every time and had a 0.032 inch dipstick. I actually have 3 cheaper calipers that I am throwing away now, they are nowhere near as reliable as this new one.

New caliper with cracked lens

Received calipers at 20:00 but earlier than planned. I opened the box on the kitchen counter and as soon as I took the caliper out of the sealed packaging I noticed the lens was cracked and asked for a return authorization. I would have ordered another caliper with a black face but the price went up $10 so I ordered a caliper with a white face. I am concerned that a defective item was received from Mitutoyo but I will try again. This time I will do my best to verify before opening the sealed…

The instrument I received is not accurate. Update: I received an accurate replacement

The gauge I received is not accurate. It differs by 3/1000 inch compared to 3/4 inch. I measure with Veritias tuners. Mitutoyo offers more benefits than the larger unit I use. I have a very accurate vernier caliper that I also measure, which is suitable for all block sizes. Please inform. Many Thanks. Update: I received a replacement and it is very accurate. I am satisfied and am updating my rating to reflect my satisfaction with both the service and the replacement product I received.
