Description of ๐Ÿš— Optimized Mityvac MV4560 Pressure Test Kit for Radiator/Cooling Systems: Includes Adapters for Testing Majority of U.S., Asian, European Cars, and Light Trucks

Economical, accurate and simple method to find common causes of overheating. Pinpoints external leaks caused by loose clamps or leaky hoses, connectors, water pumps or radiators. Diagnoses internal leaks caused by a blown head gasket or damaged block or head. Tests radiator and coolant bottle caps to ensure they are maintaining the correct pressure. Contains adapters to test the cooling system and caps of most U. S. and Asian cars and light trucks, as well as many European vehicles. Application-specific adapters fit the radiator or coolant bottle like the original cap.

Good cooling system tester for the price!

Bought a Mityvac MV4560 cooling system tester to diagnose a leak in a snowmobile's cooling system. With the Mityvac tester I was able to track down the defective radiator cap. I was budgeting for this purchase as I suspected it might be a one off item. But now that I have a pressure gauge, it will come in handy to use it more often. One quirk that bothered me when using it is that the operator needs to be doubly sure that the compression fittings connecting the plastic tubing to the tester areโ€ฆ

Absolutely fantastic chill pressure test kit - exceeded expectations

This is a GREAT chill pressure test kit. I tested my 350Z with a kit I bought at the national tool store and it didn't hold pressure, but I couldn't find a leak. I then tested the system with what appeared to be a high quality kit I rented from a national auto parts chain and it didn't hold up to the pressure. Haven't found a leak yet. I used a MityVac pressure gauge and the system withstood the set pressure for 5 minutes - like a rock. The system is easy to set up and use. From the moment Iโ€ฆ

Problem SOLVED in 2 minutes with Mityvac.

Bought a tool to diagnose minor coolant leaks in my 1998 Toyota 4runner with 180,000 miles. Less than 2 minutes after connecting the Mityvac and about 4 pressure pumps a jet of coolant shot out of the leaking hose and almost hit my eye, problem solved. I struggled for weeks and couldn't find the leak with the engine running because the problematic hose was under the air intake, dripping onto the top of the engine and vaporizing before I could find it. After replacing the leaking hose, I wasโ€ฆ

Satisfied Buyer of Diagnostic Testing & Gauging Tools

After misdiagnosing a leak in the cooling system a few times on our 1991 Project Miata car, I realized I should check the pressure in the system , but didn't want to spend money on someone else doing the work if I could find an inexpensive way to do it myself. After all, I did all the auto repair work myself, from tightening seats and installing heaters to changing the convertible top to replacing a warped cylinder head. So why not do a pressure test yourself? So I searched and found theโ€ฆ

Varieties Good do-it-yourself tool - with weaknesses

All made of plastic, but looks well made. Maybe not for a busy garage, but for a shadow mechanic and occasional use it's fine. The parts fit together well and the color meter is easy to read. A good instruction manual is included. Very handy for checking the radiator caps and possible problems with the cooling system. The initial cost is less than paying a mechanic to check the system. A storage box would be nice, but molded plastic packaging can be used instead. Edit 11/21/2016: I've used this

Good kit, the fitter tore off the thread for the pressure gauge.

I like this set. Bought to replace a regular cooling system tester. I had an issue where the pressure was building up for a very long time and the pressure kept releasing. The maximum pressure I got was 10psi. I saw the gap between the plastic parts and sealed it with "Great Stuff", engine sealant. Still the same problem. I decided to remove the sensor to see how well it sealed. I saw that they used liquid teflon tape on the threads as I started to take it off. After the sensor was routed, Iโ€ฆ
