This adapter worked great. I don't know why Mercedes thought it would be a good idea to remove the dipstick tube but with this adapter and OBD2 reading the transmission status in real time. it worked perfectly.

A good tool is ruined by a patented pressure port. Instead of dealing with a standard fitting, they invent their own and hope (and force) you to buy their hose fitting. Well I didn't fall for that trick and designed (modified) my own pressure fitting on a lathe in 15 minutes.

It is well made. The threads are well formed, smooth and just the right size to screw into a Mercedes 7 speed oil pan. It didn't leak when hand-tightened, making it easy to remove when it came time for a quick change to the plug. Refilling the 722.9 transmission has been made much easier than the manual and video suggest.

This tool is perfect and does the job perfectly, I have used it twice on Mercedes vehicles. If you drive a 2005+ Mercedes, this is the only way to top up the gearbox. If I could take off stars for Mercedes' lie about a sealed gearbox and no oil dipstick, I would. But here I am reviewing the tool and it was perfect and it's not their fault Mercedes likes to force customers to come to them.
