Fixed issue with Wave Inspire 16 size

This model is again true to size. The leg box isn't as roomy as older versions like the 14, but they're still comfortable. This line really protects my knees and plantar fasciitis from pain on short runs and long walks. These are my everyday shoes.

Pros
  • Enerzy Foam: Mizuno Enerzy Foam is more responsive and springy compared to previous Running EVA technologies U4ic and U4icX.
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than other picks.

Disappointed Best in Road Running

I didn't put these shoes on right away when I received them. By the time I started wearing them it was too late to send them back. Heels on both heels creak when walking! It's so annoying and everyone hears a squeaky sound! Make sure when you buy these shoes, wear them around the house first! I refuse to wear them in public! Overall the fit is great as I've always worn Mizuno...but now I'll look at another brand if that happens again!

Pros
  • U4ic Midsole: Provides optimal cushioning, durability and superior ride. Innovatively lightweight, well-cushioned, responsive and springy.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not suitable for slippery surfaces.

I received the shoes on recommendation to replace the Wave Prophecy which I can no longer get. I like the jump to the heel, but that's about it. There is almost no grip in the tread of the shoe. If you walk them on wet leaves or a hoarfrost surface, you'll land on your ass. I'm not a fan of super long thin laces but I can change them up. It will be "interesting" to see how many miles they will stretch.

Pros
  • Engineered mesh upper: Breathable and durable for high performance.
Cons
  • old

Not comparable to Wave Inspire 16

I have worn Mizuno Wave Inspire shoes for many, many years. I probably started with #5 and my last pair was the Wave Inspire 16. They fit me perfectly. I can run miles in it. Needing a new pair I ordered these 17. They are SO tight on top (the widest part of my foot), I wore them around the house all day and my feet hurt. I returned them today. I hope Mizuno returns to previous models to see why this one is so different. Big disappointment.

Pros
  • X10 Outsole: Durable carbon rubber for longer life.
Cons
  • Legacy

Wave Inspire Loyal Customer

I bought these shoes a few weeks ago to replace a worn out pair of Inspire 16s. I've been wearing the Wave Inspire exclusively for running for almost 15 years now. After my first run, the top of my left leg hurt a little. This went on from the 2nd to the 6th run, but finally on the 7th run the pain was excruciating and actually left a big bruise on my leg! I'm totally disappointed as I don't know how to fix this on shoes. My right shoe is fine so I'm not sure if my left shoe is defective…

Pros
  • Rubber Outsole
Cons
  • Commercial Availability

If you're used to New Balances, don't try them.

These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. I decided to try the Mizuno Wave Inspire after New Balance switched their styling to the 860s and I didn't like the new fit. I've had these shoes for about a month now and I can't run or walk more than 3 miles in them without getting a blister somewhere on my foot. The front fold goes in the wrong place and causes pain after just a short walk. While I'm not a fan of the new New Balance 860 design, I'll be giving them away and returning…

Pros
  • Fan Wave Plate
Cons
  • Outer
