Huge Mizuno fan but they fit horribly!

I'm a big fan of Mizuno running shoes, I've been using their running shoes for over 10 years but they are very disappointing. I have 7 1/2 in regular shoes but I always order 8 or 8 1/2 in Mizuno as they tend to run small. Bought 8 1/2 and they don't fit at all. I don't feel like it has the same arch support and it bothers my calves a bit. The toe box is smaller and it feels like my toe is resting on the midfoot of the shoe. Maybe the shoes just run small and I need a larger size? My feet are very narrow anyway, so I usually never have a problem with a narrow
