Our daughter Pitcher used studs every 4 months, usually in the foot so we chose to use them as they protect that area. , (we tried hard toes many times but they didn't last), after 5 months the shoes are in great condition but the metal cleats are so worn they are slipping off and we have to buy new ones!

According to my daughter, they fit great and offer good support. Over time I have found that buying boots is a complex process. All brands fit differently (my daughter doesn't wear the same size of a brand - it's frustrating), and even if you wear one brand size with molded cleats, you can wear a different size with metal cleats. Previously these were solid rivets. My pitcher wore our toe box on her previous pair and this season we decided to try a reinforced toe box. So far the outside of the boot is holding up, but the inside of this boot could use some cushioning. Her legs hurt after wearing them for an hour. I'm sure I can add an insole to help and I will. I thought others should know that they are not very comfortable due to the lack of a pillow. That's the only reason I'm only giving it 4 stars.

Good overall fit. However, it took 3 tries to find the right size. So if you can I will try not to buy online to save time. Unfortunately I already had a problem with protruding soles when wearing shoes. This will trap rocks and debris underneath. As this happens, your legs will feel like they're being supported by about a hundred pegs at once.
