Made a huge difference

Switched here after reading comments from various sites that I replaced the ATF+4 in my manual transmission with this. I lug 10,000 pounds almost a week in the summer. While it's debatable which brands are better and all, at least in my case it's a great oil compared to ATF+4.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No automatic transmission

Best G56 Transmission Oil

After a recent transmission oil change with ATF4 as recommended by Dodge for the G56 transmission I was experiencing a lot of noise and vibration. I searched the internet to find this Mercedes recommended oil for the gearbox. First test drive after an oil change and it's amazing on a G56 manual. Smooth, quiet and easy to shift!

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • No paint required

It's the best thing in the world

I've read a lot of forums about this thing for Dodge G56 gearbox, it's way better than anything else. Filled up and drove 2500 miles with an overhauled gearbox and everything ran smoothly. No problems shifting or shifting, it's a bit stiff in the cold but I don't bump into the gearbox so that's fine with me. Def is much better than OEM Transfluid. No noise and squeaks when turning gears. Will definitely buy more for a transmission oil change.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

G56, changed my mind

I have driven my G56 Mobil delvac 50 10,000 miles, they switched to Amsoil MTF 5w-30. Mobil is a pretty good transmission oil, but it makes the transmission shift slowly and clumsily. And when the temperature is below zero, the truck is almost uncontrollable, some gears are blocked, others are grinding. After switching to Amsoil, even in cold weather, the gearbox shifts smoothly like a normal car. It's very close to Mobil when it comes to stopping gearbox rumble. I'm not an Amoil fan. This is…
