Modkat Scratcher Lounge (Large - 30L X 10.6H X 10.6D In.) Review

The cardboard on this scratcher shed within a month of our buying it. There is cardboard all over the floor and it is not a good grade of cardboard. We've had others that last much longer. However, our cat loves to just lay in it as it is a good lounger if you can deal with all the cardboard which he has shredded.

We’ve had this for 24 hours and my cat is obsessed. He loves cardboard scratchers and we put this on our wedding registry (he’s part of the family too!). He’s been scratching at it and laying in it and loving on it since it got here. Came with catnip so I sprinkled a tiny amount on it and he’s been loving it. It does smell a little weird, like a wet towel, but this is Texas and it was in a hot box outside for a few hours before I could get to it. Came with one of those anti-humidity packs…

This was an early Christmas gift for my cats. They both love it and use it to relax and play,, and of course scratching. Typically, one of my cats will be on top and the other inside the opening. I believe it will keep them from scratching the couch. So far, it is proving to be durable and sturdy! It blends well with the house because of the neutral colors and sleek design. My husband and I really like this piece.

I had 2 of these before because my cats absolutely love them. So now the size that used to be available is gone, which was in between the L & S now. The L just looked too big for my place but the small one is ridiculous. It’s not for big adult cats. They use it but not like ones before. I feel sorry for them and hoping this is a different maker and I’ll find the old size. Or I’ll have to get the giant one.I was very disappointed. Very disappointed.

Boots doesn’t take well to new items of any kind. So when I was not able to find the same large scratching hammock, this product was the closest thing. I wasn’t sure if he would use it- which has happened numerous times in the past with new products. However it only took about 24 hours for him to jump up and claim his perch! He’s been lounging there regularly now and scratching away when necessary. It is made very sturdy and is a bit larger than the hammock. So I was afraid it might be too…

I've been looking FOREVER for a kitty scratching device and 3 years later and trying lots of different products I've found what my cats love. They rest on it, scratch it run through it (I bought the smaller ones initially then saw they were trying to run through it so bought the larger model.they love it). I also love the Scandinavian-like design so it actually looks great in our home. We literally tried so many different devices. Would be great to see it evolves into different shapes and sizes

This scratcher imitates another scratcher that is of much better quality from Petfusion by making this look like the Petfusion one. However, this scratcher quickly wears out with minimal cat use with pieces of cardboard flying everywhere. It also basically collapsed as I was sitting on it next to my cat whereas that has never happened to me with the Petfusion one which is much sturdier. All in all a very short lived product not worth its money.

One of my cats has a distinct preference for scratching on a horizontal surface versus a vertical one (like a scratching pole or tree). She absolutely ADORES this Modkat scratching lounge. She runs to hop on top of it multiple times a day. Also, I like that the opening is large enough that she can get inside the lounger and scratch there as well. I highly recommend this product!

Very sturdy and high quality. My cat is on the larger side and loves to lounge on it. She unfortunately doesn’t like to scratch any cardboard (she’s bougie like that), so I can’t speak for durability in that respect. But because she loves cardboard boxes she loves to sit on top of this or squeeze her chonky self through the middle.

Appears to be well-made. Both my boys use it daily to lounge and get their scratch on. Peanut's preferred afternoon nap spot.

This is a great scratcher for my cat, she loves it! I love how sturdy this is and the fact that you can turn it over also after the one side has been scratched up and extend the life of the item. The picture attached is after about a month’s use and it is still holding up very well and still looks great. I love how sleek this looks in my living room!

My cats absolutely love this! They play hide and seek with it and it’s a great value for the size it is. I would definitely buy this again.

My cats are happy. They scratch away at it, sleep on it and hiss at each for use of it. I can see it will be around for a while. That's my feedback.

I think my cat would like it a lot better if the sides were usable for clawing. He keeps trying and seems frustrated because he wants to embrace the width. This will have to do it will probably last a few years it’s very sturdy.

This was perfect for the cats and me! The cardboard is thick and tightly pressed together. Others I've had started to fray and shred right away and I was constantly vacuuming. I've had this one a couple months now and it still looks new, even with 2 crazy cats clawing and wrestling on it.

It was smaller than I thought it was going to be .My cats likes it though , but I wouldn’t buy it again they have a bigger one online my cats are not little their 2 big male cats and they’re big boys. But it was well-made and the quality was good if you have smaller cats

Our cats loved this so much I ordered a second one right away. I thought it was a bit expensive , but it’s quite sturdy and looks as if it will last a very long time.

My 11 pound cat loves this scratcher. It looks like a piece of modern furniture in my living room. A visitor commented that she didn’t realize it was for the cat until the scratcher was used as intended. The scratcher is large enough that my cat can comfortably nap on it. We both are highly pleased.

My cat is large (not obese) and barely fits on the scratcher, so he doesn't use it. Would be perfect for smaller cats. Very sturdy and not an eyesore in the room!

She loves her new scratcher. It is bigger and much stronger. It's worth the price and I know that it will last a long time. She can sleep on it and stretch out her legs something that she couldn't do on the other ones that I purchased. Im going to buy another for my granddaughter Miss kitty. She will love this one too. ❤️ One year latter 12/17/22 the sturdiness is still the same. The material is very strong and hasn't shredded. Best buy ever.
