This salt shaker didn't wet the salt at my beach house even though I added rice. The salt was wet and could not be shaken off. NOT WORKING for me and the return window is closed so I have to discard them. Not recommended for humid climates.

I thought it would be perfect if it had a cap to prevent spills. Unfortunately, the hinge is fully spring loaded and has no way to lock in the open position. In other words, you must leave the lid open to use it. Not friendly with young or old hands. Very disappointed. I like the design of the jar but need to find better lids.

You are very nice so I am not disappointed. I am disappointed with the statement "no moisture". I live in Florida and I'm having a really hard time keeping the salt from absorbing all the moisture. I was hoping this would work. Pepper is fine, but not salt. They really don't even close tight. Big failure.

I bought these for our camper. The tops protect against bugs at the picnic and keep salt deposits away. A shaker fell to the ground, but none of them spilled as they snapped onto the spring. I want them to be acrylic but only the lids are plastic and the bottle is glass. The beehive pattern matches the acrylic butter dish I purchased from this site.

Love it! I saw these at a restaurant (with stainless steel lids) and decided I needed them. I was happy to find them with waterproof caps as I live near the water. I thought maybe I wouldn't like them as much with plastic caps as I do with stainless steel caps, but it actually works for me. They are very durable and well made. I bought these to keep in the car for when we go to restaurants that don't serve condiments, unless You ask about it. Our favorite restaurant gave us salt and pepper packets, which didn't quite work for us. We would have to ask for more and/or get too much. The extra waste of unused packaging seemed unnecessary. The solution for us was to put these shakers in the glove compartment and take them with us. We had no spills and the salt didn't stick together. I love it and restaurants appreciate it

It's a very humid summer. I used to do the salt in rice trick, but last summer it was so soggy the rice didn't even stop the salt from sticking together. I bought these hoping they would help and they did! The salt shaker was filled with just salt and no rice during our 3 wettest months and 0 lumps. This is a kind of retro style salt and pepper shaker. It attracts me. Reminds me of a diner from the 40's or 50's. The best thing about them is that they keep spices dry. In wet Florida conditions, this is a big help. Salt and pepper shakers have holes of equal size in the lid for salt and pepper.
