Great cable at a great price

I am always happy with these Monoprice products. This ethernet cable is no different, it has a solid construction and once installed it meets the specifications. The box pulls out easily, which made installing my cable easier, and the color is consistent between batches.

  • Finally bought it

really good quality

good cable, twisted correctly for connection. Some cables don't unwind properly, this one and a real copper nit in a copper jacket

Good quality: cables and connectors

I bought this cable to use with Platinum Tools EZ-RJ45 Cat6 connectors and EZ-RJPRO HD crimp tool and they work great together. The crimping tool allows you to safely remove the jacket from this cable without cutting the wires inside and the wires fit perfectly through the ends of the connectors. The wire color is clear and strong to prevent tangles and the cable is pure copper for better electrical conductivity.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Install Basement Ethernet Cable

Installed several home runs in an unfinished basement using this ethernet cable. The 1000ft cable was very easy to pull out of the box. It didn't get tangled and I was able to easily install the Drop in any room. This is solid copper wire, not copper jacket, which is important for reliable speed. Overall a good cable for everyday use.

Excellent Cat5e Cable: Cat 6 Cable

Excellent Cat5e Cable. My husband lugged it through our attic to add wired ethernet to our home office. The cable is solid copper, not copper clad aluminum (CCA as I'm told below). It pulls out of the box easily without kinking.

Great for DIY

Although I wouldn't use it commercially as there are tougher shell options for contractors, it's great for the home/do-it-yourself (going through walls). It's flexible and the inner wires stay in any position you bend them. Key Features: Rip cord and clearly marked white wires (this time)! Consider using multi-wire patch cords, as you may find a single-wire cable too stiff. Cheaper direct, but only if you're willing to use standard shipping. , stranded) - better for stamping into wall panels…

Excellent solid copper Cat 5E cable for indoor installation.

I'm an electrical engineer and I think this is a great Cat 5E cable for indoor computer networking or for making your own patch cords. I like the fact that it's solid copper and not copper clad aluminum (CCA). You must ensure that you use solid copper or stranded copper cables when running computer network cables, especially if you ever use Power Over Ethernet (POE) with one of these cables. This is especially important if you have a contractor running cables for you: please ensure they use…

OK cable but not that easy to use

Haven't used this product much before so these are my first impressions. I don't have a high quality cable tester. I can check continuity but not the baud rate. At least not easy. I live in the country and was lucky enough to be able to connect to the internet at 50 Mbit/s. Almost every type of cable will support this speed, even the Category 3 cable my house was built with years ago. I am using this cable to replace part of this cable for various reasons not relevant here. In any case, I'll…
