I had to work to find one of them for my MacBook.

Had to work to get one of these for my Macbook with Mavericks. Not a big fan. The connection seems sluggish and I have to disconnect and reconnect when I reboot. Maybe a driver update will help?

Pros
  • change price

Works as it should: USB network adapter

Newer PCs/Macs don't have an Ethernet port. When uploading/downloading large files, this is much faster with a direct Ethernet connection to the modem. It does.

runs on Arch Linux

Bought after it burned out from a Logitech adapter. Wi-Fi in the schools I teach is notorious for being unstable, and my new ultrabook doesn't have built-in ethernet. This key solves all my problems.

Pros
  • A dream come true

Windows 10 64 driver not working.

Windows 10 64 driver does not work. The Realtek driver works, but Windows reloads the driver after a reboot. I had to add the group policy editor to windows to prevent the win driver from installing.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Probably just poor compliance

Standard cables will not fit this unit and will not snap, causing it to keep being plugged in and losing connection. Often you still have to disconnect from the network to start again, maybe they don't sit down on purpose? Maybe just poor adherence to the norm. Sometimes it works.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Doesn't work as advertised with my Android devices!

The technical data is very misleading. I bought it to use on my Android devices: phone, tablet and Android TV. But it doesn't work in any of them at all! Is a return possible?

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model
