No HDMI cable lasts forever, but the Monster Black Platinum Ultra HD HighSpeed HDMI Cable can be counted on until, of course, it stops working. This is a premium cable that is worth every penny.

Not only is this cable bulky, it has little latches on the cable itself to secure it, but it just gets stuck in your devices. Given that it's only HDMI 2.0 and the amount of force it takes to remove it, I'll say it's not worth it. Especially for PS5 where the cable is very reluctant to come out

Works as intended. And of course top quality. But I think (in hindsight) that it was overkill. Cables are ten times cheaper (and work) just as well (as far as I can tell). When one buys a high quality or very large TV etc., ie pays a high price for it, one is tempted to buy high quality cables which do not seem that expensive in relative terms; Over time you rethink!

I bought one in 2014 and three years later it started falling apart and the cable head had to be pushed right or left to get a signal to send. I also bought an M series cable which is considered to be inferior to black platinum and it too started falling apart and stopped working. Good HDMI cable, bought a few years ago. However, if you're looking for better quality, higher resolution, and speed, I'd recommend the AudioQuest cable that Revain sells. I have since replaced all my cables with AudioQuest as they offer much better resolution, speed (for gaming) and picture quality. Revain offers the full line of AudioQuest cables.
