Works well but didn't solve my engine light problem

Perfect for my 2008 Jeep Liberty. I had a small vaporizer error code and this was one of the steps I tried to fix. It wasn't a fix, but I liked that this gas cap had a strap to hold it in place while my old one didn't. Ultimately, the solution to my engine light coming on was to replace a few hoses that had cracked.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Modern

My error code problem has been fixed!

After checking the emissions I was told I had a crack in the gas cap; I failed the test but realized I had to replace the cracked cap. It was a good buy for my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. This installation was quick and easy. Since the installation almost 2 months ago, the error code has not appeared again.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • So far so good

Precise part best in capital letters

I have had my van for 9 years now and it is only recently that I have 'gas cap' on the odometer instead of the actual odometer reading. I removed the original gas cap and replaced it with this one. This is an exact copy right down to the inscription on the lid. I cleared the check engine light and haven't had a "Check Engine" light since. It's been about 2 weeks. So I think I'm good.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • flimsy

Dashboard Engine Light on: simple and inexpensive solution

My Chrysler Aspen 07 had a check engine light on the dash, googled the most common causes and most said replacing the gas cap would fix the problem, the fact that I had never changed it before made it easy to try . the part came quickly, replaced, drove the car about 50 miles and the next day the check engine light didn't come on when I started the engine and so for a month or so, ended up being a cheap investment and a great solution. I chose the Mopar brand because Chrysler uses it on their…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Fits 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. Maybe it doesn't seal from the start?

Firstly, this cover fits my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country. The binding hooked in easily and probably seals well, but I'm not entirely sure about the strength. I bought it because my check engine light was constantly on due to a small fuel leak (code 0456 for my car) and often because the gas cap wasn't closing properly. However, after installing this cap, the code continued to work from time to time. And I had a mechanic who would check the whole fuel system, seal it and everything and not…

  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
