A small amount of pressure is required to attach the top to the bottom. But once connected, they rotate and hold a lot of weight. I use them to hold my necklaces and they are great for that. Eight holders per order. Each contains 20 items.

I bought these to use on my inexpensive necklaces that I need to store. It worked, but they take up space. I managed to hang 3 on a regular hanger and then put them in the closet. I finally bought a hanging jewelry holder that would work as well, but it's still good and will hold scarves and belts for when I need them later.
