Unreliable - Avoid!

Being an automotive enthusiast, I decided to try out this thermostat for my car. Based on my observations, it remains open even in idle state leading to over-heating, thus, making it obsolete in doing its primary job..

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Poor performance

Improved Engine Performance with this Thermostat

After trying this product, my automotive engine runs smoother and runs cooler thanks to the improved temperature control .The installation was quick and easy, and I can feel the difference in the cars performance. However, the product is a bit expensive compared to other similar products in the market..

Pros
  • Improved engine performance and temperature control
Cons
  • Slightly expensive compared to other options.

It does not work as advertised

2005 Corvette. The car ran with the factory-set thermostat constantly between 192 and 194 degrees, regardless of the outside temperature, the air conditioning on or off. After replacing the factory thermostat with a Motorad 456-180, the engine temperature fluctuates steadily between 199 and 201 degrees. Even if the fans were reprogrammed to 70% at 185 and 100% at 192. I checked the fan percentage by testing and did a ride test twice to let it cool enough to remove air from the cooling system…
