The dead cat was very helpful because it was raining and windy

I used this mic at a wedding with my tascam and it worked well. The dead cat was very helpful because it was raining and windy but they wanted to shoot outside. Definitely a good return when thinking about starting mics.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No Insurance

and the sound quality is damn good

Worked as I hoped. I'm currently using it with a Canon Rebel T7i, there aren't any compatibility issues and the sound quality is pretty darn good. In addition, the victory was very convenient. This is an inexpensive option that really works.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works the same as more expensive microphones.

So far so good. I needed an extra microphone and based on previous feedback I decided to take a chance. I saved $60 for a similar mic that did NOT include a "Dead Kitten" squelch. I like the fact that the mic uses a 9V battery instead of the camera battery.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Worked great and then didn't

I bought this to use as an external microphone while recording videos on my iPhone. I was very happy with the sound it was able to record and used it for three days with no problems. The next time I tried to use it, it wouldn't connect to my iPhone. I don't know what happened but I sent it back. I might try to get another one if I can't find a better solution

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some cons

No complaints for the price

For the money this mic is hard to beat. There is a bit more background hiss/noise than I would like, but that's okay. Whether you're recording basic YouTube videos or just getting started, this mic is the way to go. The plastic bracket looks a bit cheap, I would be careful with that. But then again, I don't think you'll find a much better sound recording solution for the price.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • I don't remember

Good for the price but keep it stable.

Works very well Sounded fairly good, a bit static compared to more expensive options. The way the microphone is hung on this stand is a bit annoying. Even the slightest shake and shake of the camera creates a faint shaking noise in the recording, so you need to keep the camera steady. I've used other mics on the camera and this is the first time I've had a problem.

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • Quality
