Easy to install but needs better finishing

Easy to install but it needed to be machined and polished the edge next to the spin-on filter to get rid of a stubborn and annoying little leak. I was disappointed as Mr. Poetry is usually of pretty good quality.

Great quality but some extras need to be added

Great quality but some extras need to be added. The bottom should state what filter number they need so when removing the filter the technician will know which filter to use and the appropriate screw lock should be included in the small pouch.

Oil filter no longer leaks

Yes, nipple is included! Bought to replace an old leaking adapter. The included oil seal isn't easy to find, so it was easier to just buy a brand new kit. I'm not a fan of cast aluminum but it worked on my big 66396 block and fixed an oil leak so can't complain.

CHEAP QUALITY - Oil

I BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE AN OLD ADAPTER I HAVE. THE QUALITY HAS DECREASED. THIS MATERIAL IS NOT AS THICK AS THE OLD TYPE AND HAS A PLAIN O-RING FOR THE ADAPTER INSTEAD OF THE OLD CAP RIMED STYLE. DURING INSTALLATION THE SCREWS ARE PUSHED THROUGH THE PLATE DUE TO THE THINNESS OF THE MATERIAL. NO NEED TO SAY THIS LEAK IS VERY BAD AND I NEED TO REUSE MY OLD ONE.

Good nonsense for spare parts

What a mess. This product is of very poor quality. The sealing surfaces of the castings were so bad that the oil filter barely made full contact when screwed in, but I figured there were plenty of these on sale so that shouldn't be a problem. I installed this part very carefully not to overtighten as it is a cast and not solid aluminum. Installed the filter, filled the engine with oil, started the car to check for leaks and as soon as I got under the car, oil was pouring over the back of the…

No more messy oil changes!

After AGAIN leaking the original canister/paper filter element at the gasket on a 1962 Chevy C30 I decided to order this kit. If you have an older car with a chunky metal body and a separate piece of paper, YOU NEED this conversion kit. Installation was easy and took about 30 minutes, most of the time was spent lifting the old truck up and securing it on stands (they don't make these anymore, that truck is steel and whatnot!).
