Description of Mr Gasket 2235G Headlock Locking

Serrated teeth grip header flange surface providing a locking action. Thread-lock patch prevents header bolt torque loss and provides positive thread seal. Combination hex/socket head design for easy installation. Made from high-grade stainless steel to resist rust and corrosion. Material specification Grade 8, 150, 000 PSI tensile strength.

Useless Locking Mechanism

As a result of my tests, I determined that the locking mechanism was completely useless and did not secure the part as advertised. Although the overall build quality was decent the lock failed to prevent movement or vibration. This product is not worth the investment if you are looking for a reliable locking solution. .

Good product in Manifolds and parts

All screws fit well, no leaks yet. I used these on a set of headers for my 5.3 liter Silverado and the headers had a 3/8" thick flange. Bolts will fit.
