I'm not a tourist. This heater is used in the garage and on the patio when left outside on cool nights. Heats up quickly. and gives off a fair amount of heat. Adding a "hack" by attaching a wood stove fan should push warm air forward instead of just rising to improve heat distribution. There are several videos on YouTube that describe how to do this. For those of you who camp or have a small hunting lodge, this is definitely a worthwhile purchase.

Not recommended for outdoor use in cold cold weather. I have about 6 1/3 full 1 lb cans, it doesn't burn the whole tank. You have to keep rocking the device back and forth for it to use up the entire tank. And when in a closed room, it starts to burn the eyes. Definitely not recommended for indoor use! I had mine for about a week and used it for a four day fishing tournament and ended up selling it right after. This was the most disappointing product I have ever come across.

Excellent heating. I've used first generation Buddy heaters and got so tired of them not working after a while and I had to keep pressing that pilot button to get it to work. There is an electric starter that works great on battery power. I use it in my fifth wheel, we have a large living room and kitchen and it heats it up without me having to turn on the main oven heater. It seems pretty economical and I run it on a 7lb tank as we have plenty of room for it. I highly recommend this heater.

I am very pleased with my purchase and the improvements over previous models are very encouraging. Electronic ignition simplifies refueling and initial pilot ignition. In addition, the new design helps to protect the pilot lamp from the wind. I ordered an extra flex plate so can't wait to see how it works with the heater.
