Do not buy!: Baking tools and supplies

The glue used to glue the wrappers is poured into the holes in the colander. Extremely difficult to get out and damage the screen. In other words, I can't use it. I'm afraid the glue will get into the food if I do this. Shame as it's the perfect size for home use. The bottom line is I tried to come back and he said I couldn't.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent

Pretty rusty after a few uses

Wouldn't recommend. See image. That's a lot of rust for just a few uses (<6). It has been less than a month since you bought this product. I remember my mother's screens being replaced about once a year because they were so worn out, but I hoped production would improve. It's not like this. While this sifter takes me back to my little hands sifting flour for Mom, I'll look for another, better design. Open to suggestions.

  • Decent performance

  • Upgradable

Attention before buying!

It looked like a great product. I think this will work fine. However, the sticky balls (three) they use to attach their label to the screen are difficult to remove. Unless you have the skill and steady hand of a heart surgeon and a gallon of acetone, do not purchase this product. It took me 45 minutes and several sessions of acetone and rags to gently remove the glue. It definitely does not dissolve in water. I believe there must be a special hell for people who choose to deliver products this…

Works great - no glue

Despite some complaints about the glue on the web I took a chance and hoped the manufacturer would learn from these reviews and get rid of it. My guess turned out to be correct. The label was applied with a very thin layer of adhesive and the residue was washed off with dish soap and warm water. However, I bought this to make a "high extraction" flour (aka sifted flour) that takes whole wheat flour and sifts through the bran. The photo (sorry the photo is not very good) shows the bran left in…

Rework needed in kitchen and dining room

The strainer was excellent but the label caused a serious problem. The label was attached to the screen with three large pieces of hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive. label and penetrated the mesh of the sieve. After two hours of hard work, I was only able to remove about 60% of the hot melt. As an adhesive specialist, I can usually remove such dirt within 5-10 minutes. This time it was very difficult because of the impregnation by the net. I even tried solvents but they didn't work. Due to…

Crank knife wire weak

I've had this type for years (but another brand called 'Bromwell's' which was galvanized sheet metal but was beginning to rust but looks exactly like this new stainless steel from Mrs. Anderson) . one). The handle of this new stainless steel is made from slightly lighter .098 gauge wire, which unfortunately causes it to flex too much during use and acts like a "spring" under the flour load, constantly ejecting flour. up out of the container. My eldest didn't, even though the wire gauge used was

The paper label is APPLIED to the grid!

Should have read more negative reviews. My Tamis Mesh Sifter (drum type) arrived with a large label taped to the screen in several places, much like the label on the bottom of a non-stick pan. This glue is much stronger than typical rubber glue and penetrates through the material. I've been trying so hard to get this glue off the net and I can't. If you are Ms. Anderson, I hope you are reading this. Please stop this practice. *** UPDATE *** Here's what helped remove 97.5% of that glue. I turned

Much better than the squeeze handle colander

I first bought a squeeze handle colander thinking it was a brilliant idea. Instead, it was like practicing the Captains Of Crush move. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but that's how it felt psychologically. We'd do dozens of push-ups before eating a miserable cup of flour. So it was cathartic when I threw it in the trash - it was so bad. Instead I bought these. Compared to a squeeze handle colander, this colander works much better. It's easy to turn the handle and sift the flour. Although this is
